Haverhill: Roberta L. "Robie" (Murray) Colleto, 79, and a resident of the Bradford section of Haverhill, died peacefully at her home on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Born in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Walter F. "Sam" and Rita (Cullen) Murray, she attended Sacred Hearts School and graduated from Saint James High School with the Class of 1963. She went on to graduate from Pierce Secretarial School in Boston.
Robie was employed in the advertising department of the Haverhill Gazette for twenty-two years until 1988 and then spent the next twenty-three years working for New England Telephone and Verizon until her retirement in 2010.
An active member and supporter of Sacred Hearts Parish, she was devoted to her family and cherished her many friends. She enjoyed holding conversations with people whether they were long-time relatives and friends, or people that she met during the course of her daily life. Robie was a member of Court Sacred Hearts of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Communication Workers of America. She enjoyed making oriental rugs and traveling through Italy and Greece and trips to Florida, Bermuda, Las Vegas and North Conway, NH.
Predeceased in 2023 by her husband, Antonio P "Tony" Colleto, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael F.X. and Alicia M. Murray of Haverhill, a niece, Shauna M. Upham and her husband Matthew of Wilmington, NC, two nephews, Christopher M. Murray and his wife, Kayla, of Bradford, and Timothy M. Murray and his wife Ann of San Jose, CA; great-niece Keira Murray and great nephews, Declan Murray and Owen Murray; Tony's nieces and nephews, Kimberly Pews, Patricia Mazzetta, Elizabeth Ponticoloni, Celia Hart, Lynn Ferrara, Daniel Musso, Joseph Musso, Maryann Gilman, Anthony Colleto, Trina McGowan, and Penny Colleto, several cousins and longtime very special friends, Suzanne, Mary, Peggy and Betsy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Robie's Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday morning, February 26, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, South Main Street, Bradford.
