Plaistow: Robert C. Senter, 79, a lifelong resident of Plaistow, died February 16, 2017 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA.

Born in Haverhill, son of the late Clinton and Pearl (Raymond) Senter, he was raised and educated in Plaistow and attended the Pollard School. He was a member of the former Haverhill Trade School Class of 1955, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Senter was the founder and former owner of Senter Brothers Construction Co. and R&S Realty of Plaistow. He also owned and operated the BS Ranch of Riggins, Idaho where he raised sheep and cattle.

A member of the NRA, The Wild Sheep Foundation and the Safari Club and Life Member of the Plaistow Fish and Game Club and the Plaistow Lions Club, Mr. Senter enjoyed big game hunting across Africa, Mexico, Alaska, Canada and Argentina. He was a former Scout Master of Troop 18 of the Boy Scouts of America and also enjoyed playing golf.

Mr. Senter was predeceased by his first wife Carol (MacLean) Senter, and is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Sandra (Lang) Senter, sons and daughters in law, Ronald J. and Holly Pynn of Haverhill, Shawn D, and Kimberly Senter of Fremont, and Shane M. Senter of Milford, a daughter Louann Senter of Haverhill, a brother Clinton W. Senter, Jr. of Plaistow two sisters, Lillian Riccio and Gwendolyn "Penny" Mayo ,both of Plaistow, grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Stephen, Jordan, Jason and Jacob, great-grandchildren, Gage, Cole and Gwen, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Robert C. Senter, Jr, a daughter Kathleen M. Pynn, and brothers, Clifford Senter and John Senter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Senter's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday February 23, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
