IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert R.
Melanson
June 26, 1946 – February 28, 2021
Robert R. Melanson, 74, of Atkinson, NH, passed away at High Pointe House, Haverhill, MA, on Sunday, February 28, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born to the late Raymond H. and Ellen M. (Cronin) Melanson on June 26, 1946 in Lynn, MA.
After graduating from St Mary's High School in Lynn, MA, Bob proudly graduated from Merrimack College, No. Andover, MA, with a BSEE and Northeastern University, Boston, MA, with an MBA.
Bob's life-long career encompassed working for Raytheon, Corning Inc., USAF, Rockwell-Collins, and lastly, as a consultant for BAE at Hanscom Air Force Base evaluating government proposals, preparing cost estimates, performing financial analyses, and traveling across the US.
On Saturdays, in his well-worn jeans, Bob enjoyed maintaining his income properties with good friends (the late) Tony Canzano and Goy Gutierrez. Bob loved entertaining his family and friends in his home and at his pool, mastering the art of perfectly grilling his famous "Bob burger" and his homemade sausages while sipping his homemade frozen margarita's. Another passion of Bob's was drinking fine wines and discovering gourmet restaurants both locally and in his many travels. Bob was also a proud ethnic member of the Polish Club in Danvers, MA.
Lovingly called "Mr. Bob", he leaves behind his wife, Sandra Juralewicz of Atkinson, NH; his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, "Bruschi"; his sisters, Arlene Stevens of Salem, NH, and Marie O'Hare of Salem, MA; his daughter, Jaclyn Watson of Hampstead, NH; and many phenomenal cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob's family and friends are forever grateful for the time we got to spend with Mr. Bob – for his warmth, his smile, his legendary style of playing devil's advocate to spur deep conversation, and his singular ability to make everyone feel welcome in his home. The world is a better place because Mr. Bob was in our lives.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
