Fremont, NH: Robert I. Lawson, 82, of Fremont, NH, died on September 22, 2019 at Evolve at Rye, following complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Margaret (Irving) Lawson. Robert was a graduate of Manchester Central High School, Class of 1956 and also attended the University of New Hampshire. Robert served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. English in the Mediterranean Sea. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he resumed his studies and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Lowell, Class of 1989, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. After thirty-five years of service at Sanders/BAE, Robert retired and formed his own consulting company "Solid Designs", specializing in optomechanical designs. His interests were golf, bowling, astronomy and science fiction. He especially enjoyed working with his CAD knowledge and using it for woodworking and house planning projects.

Robert will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Constance "Connie" (Montebianchi) Lawson, his son and daughter-in-law, Peter J. and Jennifer Lawson and grandson, Spencer Lawson, all of Bradford, MA; step-sons, Robert Beaulieu of Newbury, VT, Peter Beaulieu of Plaistow, Paul Beaulieu of Plaistow, David Beaulieu of Morrow, OH and their families; sister-in-law, Paula Montebianchi of Hilton Head, SC; brother-in-law, Gerry Riley, niece, Melissa Wilson, nephew, Mark Riley, all of Illinois and niece, Stacy Lawson of California.

Mr. Lawson was pre-deceased by his first wife, Ann Carroll Lawson of Nashua, his brother, John Lawson of Orinda, CA and sister-in-law, Ellen Carroll Riley of Illinois.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Senior Class of Hampstead, Evolve at Rye, and Beacon Hospice of Portsmouth for the care and compassion they showed to Robert.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Lawson's Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 3 to 5 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  His Funeral Service will follow at 5:15 PM in the funeral home, followed by Navy Military Honors in our Memorial Military Plaza on the grounds of the funeral home.  Private family burial will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
