Hampstead, NH: Robert J. Jacobsen, 91 a resident of Hampstead NH for the past 30 + years, died July 3, 2021 in his home, following a long struggle with chronic health issues.
Bob was born in Waltham MA, and grew up in East Boston MA. He was the son of the late Frank and
Rose Jacobsen. He attended Boston Trade High School, where he graduated as Salutatorian of his Class. He was married to the late Eleanor Jacobsen for 54 years, raising two daughters, and welcoming 5 beautiful grandchildren into their happy lives.
Bob spent his career working for Raytheon, as a technical illustrator. They moved to Hampstead NH and enjoyed a leisurely life of traveling and spending time with family and friends. They loved to camp and Square dance, He was an accomplished musician, playing guitar in bands, small groups and for pleasure. He continued, and enjoyed playing at his community center, which was the highlight of his week. He was an avid sports fan, following the Boston teams.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law. Diane and Jim Dolle, and Donna and Jim Gibbons. Diane's children, David Sheehan and his wife Amy, along with their two sons, Joel and Robert. Erica Sheehan Fallon and her husband Ron, along with their three sons, Connor, Cameron and Chase. John Sheehan and his son Joshua. Donna's son Jim and wife Katie, and his precious Meredith, who predeceased him. He also is survived by his brother Frank Jacobsen and his wife Mary, along with his sister Carol Cox, her four children and 10 great nieces and nephews. He was blessed to have spent the last 16 years with Ann Psilekas, who brought such happiness, love and fulfillment to his life.
