: Robert T. Hammond, "Bob", of Plaistow, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. Bob was a four-time cancer survivor who, unfortunately, lost the battle with the Coronavirus.
Born in Somerset, PA, he was the son of the late Enos and Katherine (Pyle) Hammond. Bob was raised and educated in Rockwood, PA, where he graduated from Rockwood High School, Class of 1950. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he completed Aircraft Mechanic and Flight Engine school and served overseas in Korea. Bob was the owner and president of Economy Buildings Incorporated, in Plaistow for ten years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Haverhill and the Aleppo Shriners in Wilmington, MA.
Bob loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed coaching basketball for many years at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill. He also liked watching and cheering for all the Boston sports teams. But above all else, he loved his family and spending time with all of his grandchildren.
Bob will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three sons, David Hammond and his wife Julie of Atkinson, NH, William Hammond of Johnsbury, VT, and Gary Hammond and his partner Suzanne Godin of Haverhill, MA, grandchildren, Emily, Mitchell, Catherine, and Alex of Atkinson, NH, Garrett and Sarah of Haverhill, MA, and two step-children, Brian and Sean Hutchins.

Due to the National Health Emergency, funeral arrangements will be private under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
