Hampstead, NH: Robert E. Dery, 87, of Hampstead, died on July 27, 2020 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Haverhill, on February 19, 1933, son of the late George and Yvonne (St. Jean) Dery, he graduated Saint George Elementary School and Manchester Central High School with the Class of 1951.

A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Robert served honorably in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st Class from 1953 until 1957. Assigned to the 8 ^th Air Force with the Strategic Air Comamnd as a radar, bombing and navigation specialist, he was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.

Robert retired as the plant manager of Foss Manufacturing, Inc. and formerly worked as an EMT and in the local shoe industry.

He was a member of the AmVets Post #147 of Haverhill and the Carl Davis Post of the American Legion, Plaistow, The Crescent Yacht Club of Haverhill and the Country Pond Fish and Game Club of Newton. He enjoyed hunting, boating, softball and motorcycle riding.

He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-six years, Bonnie (Whiteneck) Dery, his sons, Michael Dery of Franklin, NH and Robert Dery,Jr. of Hooksett, NH, stepdaughters, Lisa Carucci and her husband Carl of Merrimac, MA, and Regina Esposito of Bradford, MA, grandchildren, Jesse Lynn Esposito of Bradford, Nicholas Esposito of Portland, ME, and Dakota Dery of Hooksett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St., Plaistow, following the guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks outlined by the State of NH. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Air Force immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
