Obituary


Atkinson, NH: Robert L. Cote, 81, of Atkinson for twenty-seven years and formerly of Plaistow, died on May 2, 2014 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry.

Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, MA son of the late Leo and Lena (LaFleche) Cote, he attended Haverhill public schools. He served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his honorable discharge from the Army he began a fifty-three year career at Marble Motors Company in Haverhill first as the Service Manager and then in Sales before retiring in 2000.

A member of Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, he was also a member of the V.F.W Lorraine Post, the American Legion of Epping, and the AmVets #147. As a young man, Mr. Cote enjoyed hunting.

He was predeceased by his wife, who was his friend and the love of his life, Hazel (Vosburgh) Cote, and is survived by two sons, Donald J. Cote of Atkinson, and Brian L. Cote and his married partner Darrick W. Norris of Fairfox, VT, a daughter and son-in-law, Debra A. and Michael Ordway of Plaistow, and brother Ronald Cote and his wife Edrie of New York City, NY, a sister Nancy MacLean and her husband James of Florida, six grandchildren, Donald J. Cote, Jr., Christopher Cote, Briana Ordway, Jessica (Cote) Narisety, Steven Cote, and Taylor Ordway, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow.
