Bob, Dad, Grampy, Uncle Bobby; these are the names of a man who was fiercely devoted and loyal to his family and friends. He was the most selfless person anyone could have known. He would drop everything at a moment notice to help anyone, no matter how great or small the need.
To his family, he was our fixer. He could fix anything, whether in the house, on a car or even hurt feelings by listening intently and offering sound advice. He was the master at fixing thing, and if he did not know how, he would learn if he could. Both of his daughter's husbands had to quickly get used their instinct of calling him immediately whenever anything broke. He was the rock of our family.
He was adored by his grandchildren and he loved them deeply and unconditionally. He was goofy and fun; I hope beyond all hope that is what they remember about him. He was always ready for any type of fun or adventure. He had just started to talk about retiring next year and top on his list was spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brentwood, NH.
A career machinist, he was proud of his work and happily shared that pride with anyone who would lend an ear. He was employed at Lighthouse Mfg. in Portsmouth, NH.
He loved bowling, golfing, maintaining his yard and woodworking in his garage. He had the gift of gab. He was warm and friendly.
There are no words for how profoundly he will be missed- we love you.
