Kingston – Robert C. Bragg, Jr., born on January 17, 1938, to the late Bertha and Robert (Theberge) Bragg of Amesbury, MA, where Robert grew up, and lived until his move to Kingston, NH in 2015.
Bob was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, class of 1957. Bob joined the army reserves in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1962. Six months before graduation from trade school he was assigned work at Craig Systems in Lawrence, where he worked until December of 1957 Bob wanted to be a draftsman and was hired by Western Electric. Bob was known for having a strong work ethic. He loved working and was considered a workaholic.
Bob started skiing in his early 40's, he quickly became quite good and joined the Wang Ski Team. In his lifetime Bob skied over 30 mountains, as it became one of his favorite sports. Bob began playing the trumpet in junior high school and picked it up again later in life. He played with an orchestra for four years, but his love for music did not stop there, as he continued to play until he no longer could. Bob's other hobbies included white water rafting and reading history books. Bob's talents were many and diversified. Bob was very handy and known to fix anything. This talent allowed him to restore his 1961 corvette, which he was very proud of. His family especially enjoyed his talent for oil painting.
Bob's love for travel was shared by his wife Catherine. Together they traveled to Alaska, Bermuda, California, Utah, Mexico, and Canada, and visited many islands.
One of Bob's fondest memories was sailing for three months on a 45 foot sailboat.
Robert is survived by his wife Catherine (St. Hilaire) Cardillo-Bragg, Son Michael and wife Diane Bragg of Dover, NH; Daughter Elaine Morecroft of Exeter, NH; Daughter Annette and husband Robert MCaffrey of Hillsboro, NH; his stepson James and wife Jhule Cardillo of Londonderry, NH; and stepson Peter and wife Victoria Cardillo of Roslindale, in Boston, MA; his brothers Richard and wife Cindy Bragg of MI; and Wally and wife Karen Bragg of VT; and his sister Pearl Reynolds of North Hampton, NH; He is also survived by his grandchildren Adam, Marc, Amanda, Danny, Kyle, Sara, Kelly, Catherine, Gemma, and Evie, as well as eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Saturday April 8, 2023 from 10Am – 12PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH.
