Obituary

Kingston, NH: Robert M. "Bob" Wilbur, 77, of Kingston, died April 13, 2017.  Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, son of the late Howard and Bernice (Morrison) Wilbur, he was educated in the Haverhill Public Schools system and attended the former Haverhill Trade School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal from 1959 until 1964 and was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Wilbur was employed for twenty-one years as a truck driver for Haverhill/Lawrence Transportation Co. and later worked as a long distance trucker for World Wide Dedicated Service Co.

A member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Haverhill Lodge of Elks, he was also a member of the Kingston Veterans Club, The Kingston VFW and the Carl Davis Post of the American Legion , Plaistow.

A past Constable for the Town of Kingston and a member of the Kingston Volunteer Fire Department , he also worked as a volunteer for the White Mountain National Forest, and enjoyed camping.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of fifty years, Gail (Mowry) Wilbur, a son and daughter-in-law, Mark R. and Patricia Wilbur of Kingston, a daughter and son-in-law Karen and Anthony Sherman of Raymond two sisters Judith A. Nilsson of Haverhill and Dianne C. Swartz of Columbus, Ohio, two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Howard C. Wilbur, Jr.

A private family funeral service will be held at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Haverhill Lodge of Elks, The Kingston Veterans Club, The Kingston VFW and the Carl Davis Post of the American Legion.
