Danville, NH: Robert A. Bastien, 70, died March 14, 2016 at his home following a brief illness.
Born, raised and educated in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Arthur and Doris (Berube) Bastien, he graduated from Lawrence High School as member of the Class of 1963. He was employed for over thirty-nine years as a mechanical supervisor by Haffner's Service Station, Inc.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed fly-tying and in his younger years racing at the New England Dragway.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-seven years, Eileen B. (Hollins) Bastien, a son Jason R. Bastien and his wife Jobee Martin of Raymond, and a daughter Michelle Trodella and her husband Joseph of Derry, a brother Charles Bastien of Salem, NH, four grandchildren, Jessica and Jaeda Bastien, and Angelo and Alyssa Trodella, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering for Mr. Bastien on Saturday, March 19, 2016 between 1 and 5 p.m. at Sawyer's Banquet Hall, 180 Plaistow Rd (Route 125), Plaistow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 Sarl Drive, Salem, NH, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
