Obituary

Rita Frances Huberdeau, 99, daughter of the late Aaron and Helen (Rossignol) Hume of Amesbury MA, and Portland ME, passed away peacefully at Hannah Dustin Healthcare Center in Haverhill on July 15, 2017.  Born December 12, 1917, Rita graduated from Merrimac High School, Class of 1934. Formerly of Northshore Community Merrimac for 17 years, she was a longtime resident of Haverhill Massachusetts.

Rita worked as an Assembler for Western Electric and then AT&T for 20 years, where she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Rita was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Merrimac, and had a fondness for quilting, and sewing. A giver of kindness, Rita would quilt blankets for terminally ill children as a show of her love and support, and was very active in service organizations in her church and community.

Predeceased by her loving husband Armand "Bonesy" Huberdeau in 1973, Rita  will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son David Huberdeau, and his wife Marie of Haverhill, daughter Donna (Huberdeau) Carideo and her husband Bud, of Hampstead NH, her two sisters-in-law Cecile Huberdeau, of Haverhill, and Jeannette Huberdeau of Haverhill, along with a lasting legacy of 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on July 18, 2017 from 4-8:00pm at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home , 47 Broadway Haverhill, MA with a Funeral Mass the following day, July 19, 2017 at 10:00am at All Saints Parish in Haverhill MA, followed by her burial at St. Josephs Cemetery.
