Plaistow: Richard E. "Rich" King, 65, died on Friday evening at his home, surrounded by his loving family and following a long illness.
Born raised and educated in Haverhill, son of Lorraine (Cote) King and the late Elwood King, he graduated Haverhill High School with the Class of 1966 and served as a Radar Man Third Class in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Rich was employed for twenty-four years as a fitter at the former Process Engineering Co. of Plaistow. He was an active communicant of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and enjoyed bowling as a member of leagues at Academy Lanes.
A devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, he enjoyed his home and working around his yard and the times that he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Judith (Marcotte) King, sons and daughters-in-law, Corey R. and Janine King of Kingston and Michael N. and Donell King of Manchester, his mother, Lorraine (Cote) King of Haverhill, two brothers, Wayne King of Newton, and Brian King of Longmont, CO., his grandson, Trevor, an aunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m.in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, with Military Honors to follow.
