Atkinson – Richard A. Pope, 83, passed away Saturday April 20, 2024, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, following a period of failing health.
Born December 27, 1940, in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late William and Hazel (Bishop) Pope.

Mr. Pope worked as a machinist for many years for various companies throughout his career. In his free time Richard enjoyed woodworking, building model ships, working on clocks, tinkering in his shop and garage.

He would be seen with his signature flannel, favorite hat and in earlier years with his wafting pipe.

Members of his family include his son Brian Pope of Atkinson, NH; his five grandchildren Victoria, Richard, Kayla, Samantha, and Douglas, and his brother William Pope of FL. He was predeceased by his wife Priscilla (Thibeault) Pope, and two sons Alan and Douglas.

At Mr. Pope's request his services will be private and held at the convenience of his immediate family.
