Plaistow: Richard M. Paquin, 91, of Plaistow, died unexpectedly on January 28, 2022 at Exeter Hospital.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, son of the late Wilfred and Doris (Piper) Paquin, he was raised and educated in Groveland. A member of the Groveland High School Class of 1949, he played on the Varsity Basketball Team.  He later received his degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute. Mr. Paquin served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged and  awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Mr. Paquin worked as a Construction Materials Salesman for thirty-three years at Ralph A. Esty & Sons of Groveland until his retirement and had previously been employed at New England Homes and at Acme Vault Co.

A lifelong member of the Advent Christian Church of Haverhill, Mr. Paquin served his church as a Sunday School Teacher, a Youth Group Leader, Sexton, Trustee of the church and as a Deacon and Church Elder.

He was a fan of the Boston Celtics and enjoyed carpentry, using his skills to repair things around his home. He also repaired furniture and enjoyed completing odd jobs. He also shared his knowledge of construction and building to help his neighbors in his community with their home repair projects.

Predeceased by his first wife, Diane (Cooke) Paquin in 1966, his second wife, Paula (DeCesare) Paquin in 1977 and by his third wife, Sandra (Lang) Paquin in 2020, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. and David St.Pierre of Plaistow, two sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Nancy Paquin of Dover and Paul R. and Tina Paquin of Derry, a step-son, Thomas Jasper and his wife, Kim of Hernando, FL a step-daughter, Susan E. Thomson of Londonderry; seven grandchildren, Michelle (St.Pierre) LaMonica, and Nicole St. Pierre of Plaistow, Julianne Paquin of Penacook, Sarah (Paquin) Grant of Epsom, Benjamin Paquin of Worcester, MA, Samuel Paquin of Ft. Collins, CO, and Michael Paquin of Dover; two step-grandchildren Amanda and Brooke Thomson of Londonderry and four great grandchildren and several nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters, Edith Simpson and Ruth Cotton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Paquin's Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home. A live stream link will be posted to the top of the obituary on the funeral home website prior to the service.
