Obituary

East Hampstead, NH:  Richard E. Noyes, 79, a longtime resident of Hampstead and East Hampstead, died on November 17, 2019 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

Born in Haverhill, MA, the son of Earl C. and Rose A. (Carrier) Noyes, he was raised and educated in Haverhill and attended Haverhill Trade School, graduating with the Class of 1959.  He served in the United States Army as a Specialist 4 th Class during the Vietnam War.  Richard was a Union Carpenter and worked for local contractors and for the National Door Company.

Richard was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Carl Davis Post #34 and a member of the D.A.V. National Post.  He enjoyed cutting wood from his wood lot and selling stacked wood to area residents.  He enjoyed spending time at "the barn" with family and friends.  He also loved woodworking, gardening and fixing things.  He was an avid fan of all local sports, especially the Red Sox and the Patriots, often participating in various football pools.

Richard will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a son, John R. Noyes and his wife, Melissa of Sandown, NH; three daughters, Allison J. Noyes of Alton Bay, NH, Bonnie A. McKeon and her husband, James of Boerne, TX and Nancy E. Nugent and her husband, Francis of Hampstead, NC; nine grandchildren, Ryan Nugent, Tyler Nugent, Nicholas Webster, Randall Webster, Connor McKeon, Amanda McKeon, Erin McKeon, Jack Noyes and Adam Noyes; four great-grandchildren, his former wife, Eleanor A. Martin and several nieces, nephews and many close friends.  He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Noyes and two sisters, Shirley Earp and Carol Fetty.

Relatives and friends may attend Richard's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, from 4 to 6 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  His Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 PM in the funeral home followed by the rendering of Military Funeral Honors by the U. S. Army.
