Brooksville, Florida: Richard F. Noury, 89, a former longtime resident of Whittier Place in Haverhill and a retired Haverhill Police Officer, died August 10, 2013 in Smithfield, North Carolina.
Born in Haverhill, son of the late Albert and Catherine (Butruccio) Noury, he was educated in the Haverhill School system and graduated from Haverhill High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Marine Corps Boxing Team.
Mr. Noury served as a Haverhill Police Officer for twenty-three years retiring in 1981 and was a member of the Haverhill Patrolmen's Association, and a former member of Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow,NH and Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill.
A resident of Brooksville, for the past thirty-two years, Mr. Noury enjoyed classic cars, woodworking, carpentry, playing cards and camping at Sebago Lake in Maine.
The husband of the late Barbara (Beede) Noury, he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Richard D. "Rick" and Sharlene Noury, and Dana J. Noury, daughters and son-in-law, Donna M. and Bryan Schena, and Patricia H. Noury, all of Haverhill, a special friend Molly Agius, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Gerald Beede, and sisters, Lorraine Noury and Doris Noury.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Plaistow Cemetery, Plaistow, NH followed by the rendering of Military Honors by the U.S.Marine Corps.
