Myrtle Beach, SC: Richard L. "Chip" Koed, 65, of Myrtle Beach and formerly of Groton and Clinton, Massachusetts, died January 16, 2019 in Myrtle Beach.

Born in Newton, MA, son of the late Eugene and Louise (Henderson) Koed, he was raised and educated in Framingham, graduating from Framingham North High School. Chip was a member of Local #1445 of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union and was employed as a Grocery Manager by the Purity Supreme and Stop and Shop grocery store chains.

A Boston Bruins and New England Patriots fan, he also enjoyed playing golf.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Donna (Daly) Koed of Myrtle Beach and formerly of Haverhill, MA, a son Brad Koed of Brooklyn, NY, a daughter, Kristen Koed of Astoria, NY, a step-son Robert Forzese of Fitchburg, MA, step daughters, Kimberly Hazzard and Michelle Lemieux, both of Whitensville, MA, and a sister, Linda Koed of Framingham, MA.

Donna and all of the family would like to thank the entire staff of Regency Hospice, especially Laura who helped Chip and Donna through his final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday afternoon, January 22, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
