Sandown, NH:  Richard K. Keefe, 86, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Michael and Ida Keefe.

Richard graduated from Emerson College with a degree in  communications and went on to pursue a career in radio broadcasting.  He had a passion for flying and obtained his private pilot's license, and he went on to fly small airplanes out of Lawrence and Manchester.  In his later years, he worked as a store manager at Goudreault's Trailer Sales and, after his retirement, worked at Penacook Place.

Richard was also a Volkswagen auto enthusiast and loved going to local restaurants with loved ones.

Richard is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jennifer B. Gillan of Sandown; five grandchildren, Kathleen Avalos and her husband, Dennis, David King, Ashley Macedo and her husband, Joshua, Sarah Gillan and Jacob Gillan; three great-grandchildren, Caydence, Lilly and Lucas; a brother, Dennis and his wife, Debra of Methuen, MA; and two nephews, Michael and Christopher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Kathleen Keefe in 2015.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11:30 AM at Plaistow Cemetery, Elm St., Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society .
