Richard M. "Dick" Garcia, 85, a resident of Hampstead, NH, died on Friday, February 28, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Gaskill) Garcia.

He was born in Lowell, MA on October 9, 1939 and was the son of the late Francis and Jeanette (Patenaude) Garcia. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1957. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the Army Reserves and the United States Air Force. Dick was a skilled licensed electrician, employed in Boston with IBEW Local 103. He held this position for over thirty years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, he loved a good cribbage game, handing out $20 bills to his grandkids, going out to eat with friends, Tuesdays with the boys, and watching westerns and hallmark movies. Dick most especially enjoyed time with the grandkids, family, and his friends. He was a member of the Derry/Salem Elks lodge and a former member of the Hampstead Civic Club.

Besides his wife, Dick is survived by his daughters Lisa Cardoza and her husband Brian of Hampstead, NH, Cheryl Ward and her husband Jimmy of Hampstead, NH, and Tammy Billingsley and her husband Jarrod of Hampstead, NH, his grandchildren Brittany Cardoza, Kyle Cardoza, Blake Billingsley, Holly Cardoza, Madelyn Ward, Mia Ward, and Tatum Billingsley, his sister JoAnn Bell and her husband Mickey of Pelham, NH.  He is predeceased by his brothers Francis Garcia, Robert Garcia, John Garcia and Donald Garcia.  He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 4pm – 7pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will take place in the spring.
