Obituary


Plaistow: Richard J. "Dick" Beaulieu, 77, died Saturday evening, September 26, 2015 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, following a long illness.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, son of the late Emedie and Pearl (Anderson) Beaulieu, he was raised in Plaistow, attended The Pollard School and graduated from the former Haverhill Trade School with the Class of 1955.

Mr. Beaulieu was employed as a carpenter by local contractors and he also formerly owned and operated a plumbing supply business in Derry and presently owned Imitation Designer Fragrances.

Mr. Beaulieu was a former resident of Derry and Salem and returned to Plaistow, where he has resided for the past twenty-eight years. He enjoyed traveling around the world, taking cruises, listening to classical music, following local and national politics and taking part in Trivia Night at local restaurants.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Carol A. (Gebo) Hannagan Beaulieu, a son Robert Beaulieu of Derry, a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Richard Lavoie, of Methuen, a step-daughter Linda A. Kirker of Hampstead, a daughter-in-law Debra Beaulieu of Derry, a sister Marcia Beaulieu of Derry, five grandchildren, Amanda Toscano, Nicholas Toscano, Alexandra Kirker, Kailey Kirker, and Joseph Beaulieu, a great-grandson Tyler Spore and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Richard J. Beaulieu Jr., and a step-daughter Sharon C. Toscano.

There will be no calling hours. The family will hold a private interment service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, Massachusetts.
