Obituary

Richard A. Currier, 83, of Brentwood, formerly of Plaistow, NH, died on Sunday April 18, 2021, at Genesis Exeter Center.

Born and raised in Weymouth, MA, he was the son of the late Bradford and Margaret (Jenkins) Currier.

Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a jack of all trades, working different types of jobs, most recently as a delivery driver for O'Reilly Autoparts. Richard was a volunteer firefighter, first in Plaistow and then Brentwood.

Richard loved animals and was especially passionate about horses. He selflessly volunteered much of his time helping to care for rescued horses. He also enjoyed a good meal, attending craft fairs and flea markets with his wife, Susan, and watching the local sports teams and professional wrestling. Richard also appreciated a challenging jigsaw puzzle or word search. He was a competitive bowler in candlepin and ten-pin leagues. In his younger years he enjoyed going to the auto races.

Richard will be sadly missed and always remembered in the heart of his loving wife of almost thirty-six years, Susan (Lambert) Currier, his son, Richard "Ricky" Currier, his daughter, Nancy Currier, as well as several grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
