Obituary

Richard A. Caillouette, 63, of Newton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Born in Derry, NH, on May 5, 1962, Richard was the son of Judith (Mitchell) and the late Joseph Caillouette. He was raised in Plaistow and was a graduate of Timberlane High School. Following in his father's footsteps, he began his career with Lewis Builders
before becoming a self-employed carpenter—work that became both his livelihood and his legacy. Richard took immense pride in his craftsmanship, often pointing out any and all houses he previously worked on as you drove through town. His attention to detail
and natural talent made his work unmistakable and deeply respected. Richard was a man of unwavering loyalty, generosity, and heart. Known affectionately as Buck and Big Rick, he was someone you could always rely on—whether you needed
advice, a helping hand, or simply a good laugh. He had a gift for humor, and his infectious giggle could brighten even the darkest moment. He loved fiercely, lived wholeheartedly, and always put family first.

He was the beloved husband of Sherry (Morse) Caillouette, with whom he shared eleven years of marriage before her passing in 1993. For the past 28 years, he cherished the companionship and love of his longtime partner, Stephanie St. Onge. In addition to his mother, Judith, Richard is survived by his son Richard J. Caillouette and his husband Helmer, of Newton, NH; his stepdaughter Kathleen St. Onge-Garon and her husband Mark, of Manchester, NH; and his stepson Dylan McCarty, also of Manchester. He was a proud grandfather to Richard Caillouette and Philip Caillouette, whose presence brought him tremendous joy. Richard is also survived by his siblings James Caillouette and his wife Irene, Sharon Magyar, and Michael Caillouette, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow at 4:15 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held privately.

Richard will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his dedication to his craft, and the love he so freely gave. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
