Newton, NH: Renee J. (Falkenstein) Cameron, 80, a resident of Newton since 2004, died at her home, surrounded by her family, on December 19, 2017, following an extended illness.
Born in Hamburg, Germany, daughter of the late Carl and Lucy Falkenstein, she moved to Trinidad as a child and was raised and educated there. She came to the United States in 1955, settling first in Salem, Massachusetts, later moving to Rowley and then Peabody, where she lived for several years.
She was employed as an inspector at Western Electric Co. in North Andover, and also worked at Compugraphic in Wilmington and Anologic in Danvers. Most recently she was employed as a home health aide.
Mrs. Cameron attended the Vic Geary Center in Plaistow and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, dancing and dining out.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Cameron, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a son and daughter-in-law, Peter J. and Melody Cameron of Seabrook, NH, daughters and sons-in-law, Roselda and David LeBlanc of Seabrook, Patricia and Edward Cars of Salem, NH, Carol and Peter Young of Byfield, MA, Denise and Paul Romano of Framingham, MA, Sandra and Andrew Duffty, of Newton NH, with whom she made her home, and Cheryl Karlson of Seabrook, a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Rose Falkenstein of Florida, a sister Lisa Latnick of Tennessee, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Cleary.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 8:45 on Thursday, December 28, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary Mother of the Church, 12 Amesbury Road, Newton NH. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Newton.
