Plaistow, NH: Regina F. (Pfeiffer) Bolas, 72, died Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, following a brief illness.
Born in Halle-an-Der'salle, Germany, daughter of the late Hermann and Anna (Schotz) Pfeiffer, she was educated in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1970. She was a former resident of Portsmouth, NH from 1975 until moving to Plaistow thirty years ago.
The former manager of Base Operations at Pease Air Force Base in Newington, Mrs. Bolas enjoyed European cooking, ceramics, hiking, gardening and traveling. She also enjoyed sewing and creating her own designs and found time to pamper herself with therapeutic spa treatments.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah J. Bolas and Patricia H. Bolas, both of Phoenix, AZ, a grand-daughter, Destinee R. Costanzo of Phoenix, a sister Bridgette of Germany, her longtime companion, Theodore Karl of Plaistow, a step'son, Michael Karl of Anchorage, Alaska, a step-daughter, Heidi Skeirik and her husband, Kenneth of Atkinson and a step-grandaughter, Kendra Skeirik.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
