Kingston, NH: Raymond L. Rourke, 88, of Kingston, NH, formerly of Vero Beach, FL and Falmouth, MA, died on February 22, 2018 at his home.
Born March 15, 1929 and raised in Norwood, MA, son of Raymond J. and Isabelle (Stratham) Rourke, he attended school in Norwood and attended Yale University, receiving his degree in History. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of a book publishing company, Rourke Publishing for twenty-eight years and also worked for McGraw-Hill in New York City.
He was a life member of the V.F.W. and was a History buff and an Art lover. He enjoyed baseball, especially the Red Sox and Dodgers.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy "Kate" MacEachern, a son, Christopher Rourke of Vero Beach, FL; two daughters, Deborah Boston and Elizabeth Rourke, both of Raleigh, NC and a grandson, Hal Boston, Jr. of Jackson NJ. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert Rourke.
There will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
