IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond P.
"Ray-Ray" Ferragamo
October 3, 1990 – March 4, 2020
Sandown, NH: Raymond P. "Ray-Ray" Ferragamo, III, 29, of Sandown, lost his battle with addiction on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, after overdosing at his house in Sandown.
Born in Melrose, MA, he was the son of Raymond P. Ferragamo, Jr., and Diana Teel. Ray grew up in Sandown and graduated from Timberlane Regional High School with High Honors, Class of 2008. After high school, he attended Norwich University for two years. Later, he attended North Shore Community College, nearly completing the program to become a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. While at Timberlane, Ray was a three-sport student athlete playing football, baseball, and wrestling. All of which he excelled at, including winning All-State Champion in wrestling and Golden Glove awards in baseball.
Ray worked as a painter, taking great pride in his craft. He was a creative person whose talents were expressed as a band member in school and in more recent years through designing and creating unique clothing, something he was very passionate about. Ray was also passionate about helping people. He reached out and helped many others with their own struggles with addiction and was deeply committed to improving the lives of the people of Honduras, particularly orphans, through mission work with his church.
Ray will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his father, Raymond P. Ferragamo, Jr. of Somersworth, NH, his mother, Diana Teel of Sandown, NH, sister, Jessica Pontes and her husband, Victor of Sandown, NH, nephew, Robert Salmon, and niece, Olivia Pontes of Sandown, NH, aunt, Valerie Tucker of Haverhill, MA, cousins, Alonzo Pizzaro and Carmello Rivera of Haverhill, MA, and his church family at Just Church and Rock Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A Celebration of Ray's Life will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Rock Church, 90 Newton Rd, Plaistow, NH.
In Ray's memory, donations may be made to Trust without Borders, a non-profit charity Ray co-founded with his other mission team members, devoted to sharing the love of Christ with the people of Honduras and beyond. www.trustwithoutborders.org/ray-of-light
