Raymond R. Kane Sr, 82, a resident of Sandown, NH died on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Haverhill, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Rose (Chartier) Kane who passed away in March of 2025.
He was born in Lowell, MA on September 16, 1942 and was the son of the late Harold and Rose (Maloney) Kane. Ray was raised and educated in the Collinsville area of Dracut, MA. He was a member of the Teamsters for 33 years doing shipping and receiving for various companies until his retirement. Ray later came out of retirement to work alongside his son Raymond Jr. at Parker Hannifin in Ward Hill, MA for several years before going back into retirement. He loved country music and was an avid recycler, believing every little bit would help to save our environment. Ray was also a member of the Sandown, NH Lion's Club and Sandown Sixty plus. He often donated blood and platelets to the Red Cross and volunteered at the former Merrimac Valley Hospital and was a driver for seniors who needed a ride to medical appointments.
He is survived by his sons Raymond R. Kane Jr. and his wife Sheila of Ward Hill, MA and Jason R. Kane and his fiancé Tamara LaPosta of Danville, NH, his daughter Candice L. Page and her husband Donald of Hampstead, NH, adopted children Cameron Raymond King and Emma Rose Frazier both of Sandown, NH, his grandchildren Lucas and his wife Jordan, Kendra and her husband Daniel, Lacey, Jacob and Shea Kane, and his siblings Lois Potter and her husband Eddie, and Eleanor Foss and her husband Donnie as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by his siblings Gerald Kane, Harold "Butch" Kane, John "Jackie" Kane, Ronald Kane, and Rosemary Marchand.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on June 27, 2025, from 10am - 12 pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow at 12:15 in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
