December 18, 1957 – September 10, 2025
Haverhill: Raymond H. Gardella, 67, of Haverhill, died peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, on September 10, 2025 at Lakeview House in Haverhill. Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Raymond M. and Nellie (Taglieri) Gardella. He was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1976 where he was a track star and well-liked student. He also attended the Massachusetts School of Art. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford.
Ray was employed at Western Electric Co. of North Andover and Finelle Industries in Lawrence. In his younger years, Ray enjoyed playing Chess. He always relished sharing a good joke and enjoyed drawing, poetry, and music.
Ray was predeceased by his parents and his brother John and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Marilyn Rafferty of Haverhill, and sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Ted Gaiero of Bradford, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeview House for the wonderful care and support shown to Ray during his final illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon at Sacred Hearts Church, South Main Street, Bradford, MA. Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Haverhill. For those wishing to make a memorial donation, the family would like you to consider donations to The Residents' Activities Fund at Lakeview House, 87 Shattuck Road, Haverhill, MA..
