IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ralph D.
Devoe
December 4, 1927 – April 29, 2021
Ralph D. Devoe, 93, of East Hampstead, NH, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
Born and raised in Caribou, Maine, he was the son of the late Charles and Laura (Fournier) Devoe.
Ralph served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Afterwards, he lived in Lawrence, MA for a short time, and then settled in East Hampstead to raise his family with the love of his life, his wife, Irene. For forty-two years he worked at Malden Mills rising to the position of head machinist. The only person to work there longer than Ralph was the owner.
Ralph was known as a hard-working family man who would do anything for anyone he could. He was also a very handy man who loved woodworking, tinkering and could fix just about anything. If he wasn't watching a Red Sox game, you would often find him enjoying the outdoors by splitting wood with his favorite maul.
Ralph will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Thomas Devoe and his wife, Barbara of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Brian Devoe of East Hampstead, NH, daughter, Sandra Pope and her husband, Kurt of Bridgeport, VT, brother, Joseph Devoe of Andover, MA, sisters, Helen Boulier of Gardener, MA, and Delphine Fisher of Gardener, MA, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, as well as several nephews and nieces. Ralph was predeceased by his son, Dennis Devoe, daughter, Denise Marion, brothers, Roland Devoe, Dona Devoe, and sister, Ruthie Monahan.
Services for Ralph will be at a later date.
