Newton, NH: Priscilla T. (Geoffroy) Barry, 72, a resident of Newton, NH, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, and following a four year courageous battle with cancer.
Born, raised and educated in Lowell, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Loretta (Frechette) Geoffroy, and attended Lowell Catholic Schools, graduating from Saint Joseph High School for Girls with the Class of 1967.
Priscilla was a Certified Nursing Assistant, employed for twenty years by Merrimack Valley Hospice and High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA, until her retirement in 2013. Priscilla was passionate about her work and provided loving and wonderful care to her patients.
A former resident of Merrimac, MA, for 38 years, Priscilla moved to Newton, NH, in 2013, where she became an active member of the Sargent Woods Community that she lived in. Priscilla was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and liked nothing more than spending time with her children and her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Meme". She was most often found cheering them on at all of their activities and sporting events. She was their biggest fan. She was also a member of the Church of the Nativity, an avid volunteer and enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
Priscilla's love for her family was immeasurable, starting with the love of her life with whom she was married to for forty-seven wonderful years, Timothy A. Barry who predeceased her in 2018. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela J. and Timothy Skwiot of Windham, NH, and Christine B. and David Platt, of Amesbury, MA, a son Brian F. Barry, of Merrimac, MA, and three grandchildren, Jackson (16) and Kaitlyn (13) Skwiot and Emily (8 months) Platt.
