Haverhill, MA: Peter E. Graciale, Sr., 87, of Haverhill died on June 14, 2016 at Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill.

Born, raised, and educated in Lynn, MA, son of Adolph and Louise (Coogan) Graciale, he served in the United States Merchant Marines, United States Navy, and the United States Army and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Mr. Graciale was employed first for Haverhill Gas Company and later as a maintenance worker for Rockingham Park. He was most recently employed as a maintenance worker for Haverhill High School, from where he retired.

A member of the Haverhill Gas Company Softball team, Mr. Graciale enjoyed swimming, bowling, and watching horse racing at Rockingham Park.

He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Carrozzo) Graciale in 2009, and is survived by three sons, Peter E. Graciale, Jr. and his companion Gladys Driscoll of Haverhill, Michael Graciale and his wife Joan of Haverhill, and John Graciale and his wife Linda of Woodstock, GA, six daughters, Kathy Hanna of Eudora, KS, Elaine DeFlorio, Diane Gaiero and her husband Stephen, Ann Graciale, Linda Graciale, and Christina Graciale all of Haverhill, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Graciale, and his grandson, Peter Graciale.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, June 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at BERUBE-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral service will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Haverhill.
