Newton – Pearl J. Lavin, 83, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston following a period of failing health.

Born September 22, 1940, in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Marie (Paquette) Croteau.

Pearl was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1958. She later worked as a marketing assistant for Alfa Aesar for many years.

Pearl loved line dancing, baking, crafting and spending time with family and friends.

Members of her family include her children; Barbara Wells and husband Dana of Sandown, NH, Donna Lavin and partner Donnie Spencer of Harmony, ME, Richard Lavin, Jr. of Lawrenceville GA, Stephen Lavin and wife Lori of Sandown, NH, John Lavin and wife Darlene of Haverhill, MA.  She has 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Her siblings Joseph Croteau of Quincy, MA, Arlene Charest of Lawrence, MA, and Marilyn Jozokos of Methuen, MA, many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings Lucille, Barbara, James, and Brenda

Family and friends may visit Sunday March 24, 2024 from 12PM – 3PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 25, at 10 AM in the chapel of the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
