Paula A. Daigle, 53, of Atkinson, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2014 at her home, with her family by her side, following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 22, 1960 in Methuen, MA. Paula was the daughter of Reed and Pauline M. (Dumont) Daigle. She was raised and educated in Methuen and graduated from Methuen High School Class of 1978. Paula earned an Associate's Degree from Northern Essex College.
Paula was a hard worker, dedicated and tireless. She worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for many years. More recently, she was a real estate agent in the greater Merrimack Valley area.
Paula truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed the ocean and taking day trips to Maine and local beaches. She was an avid antique enthusiast and photographer, and often combined all of these interests. More than anything, Paula enjoyed spending time at home.
Paula is survived by her loving wife, Sharon Barfield of Atkinson, NH, and her mother, Pauline (Dumont) Daigle of Newburyport, MA. Her siblings include Pam Daigle of Lowell, MA, Glenn Daigle and his wife, Suzanne of Methuen, MA, Kim Kimball and her husband, Rand of Sandown, NH, Bruce Daigle and his wife, Bernie Daigle of Hudson, NH and Shawn Daigle and his wife, Carrie of Salem, NH.
She had a special relationship with each of her nieces and nephews. They include Christopher Daigle of Methuen, MA, Matthew Daigle of Boston, MA, Doug and Rachel Kimball of Sandown, NH, Ryan and Mandy Daigle of Hudson, NH, and Alex and Sammy Daigle of Salem, NH. Paula was predeceased by her father, Reed Daigle. She will also be sadly missed by Peanut, the family dog, who provided much comfort to Paula in her final time at home.
