Kingston, NH: Paul E. McKinney, Jr. 85, of Kingston, NH, died on June 28, 2019, in the rehabilitation unit at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, MA, after a long battle with respiratory illness.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ he was the son of the late Paul, Sr. and Effie Maie (Cowden) McKinney. Paul, or "Mac" as he was known to his friends, was a graduate of Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School in Danvers, MA.  He very proudly served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 82 ^nd Airborne Division.  He was selected as a member of the Honor Guard under President Eisenhower.  Afterwards, Paul worked for many years in the paper mill and also in Malden Mills before transitioning into corporate security at ISI Systems, Inc. in Andover MA prior to retiring.

Paul was also known as "Sonny" to his parents and siblings, and his wife affectionately called him "Eddie".  He enjoyed many activities like camping, fishing, and bowling, as well as collecting stamps, coins, and knives.  Paul was the Boy Scout Troop Leader of his son Michael's troop and was actively involved as a member of the General James M. Gavin Chapter for the 82nd Airborne.  He designed the official patch for the Chapter.  Most recently, Paul enjoyed spending time with many friends at Senior Class Corp. in Hampstead, NH.

Paul will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters Diane Coyne and her late husband Walter, of Methuen, MA, Linda Flanders and her husband Alan of Bluffton, SC, Kimberly Bruzzese and her husband Tony of Atkinson, NH, and Jeanne McKinney and her partner, Michael Plante of Plaistow, NH, his son Paul E. McKinney, III and his wife Kathy of Orange County, CA, his brother Vaughn "Skip" McKinney of Phoenix, AZ, sisters Carol Terreault and her husband Edmond of Sun City, AZ, Sharon Longo and her husband Joe of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren Danny, Colleen, Wayne, Chris, Jamie, Jillian, Jessica, Joelle, Shilo, Cassandra, Frank, Marcus, and Robert, several great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.  Paul was predeceased by his wife of sixty-two years Cecile M.J. (Dauteuil), son Michael McKinney, brother James McKinney, sister Patricia and her husband Frank Zemis.

Relatives and friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration on Saturday July 13, 2019 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH.
