Paul A. Caron, age 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, died on July 13, 2024 after a courageous four year battle with stomach cancer. He was born in Manchester, NH, on October 12, 1948 to the late Louis P. and Yvette (Boisvert) Caron of Goffstown.
He graduated from St. Edmond's Elementary School and Bishop Bradley High School of Manchester, NH, where he was a member of the color guard and the track team. He attended Saint Anselm's College in Manchester, graduated from the Boston School of Cytotechnology in Boston, MA, and earned his Bachelor of Psychology degree from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH.
Paul was a member of the New Hampshire Air National Guard and worked as a cytotechnologist for thirty years in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He also worked part-time in the paint department at East Coast Lumber and had a successful career as a cell culture tech at Marine Polymer Technologies in Tewksbury, MA.
He earned his black belt in karate from Oriental Healing Arts Association and also studied and taught Tai Chi. He was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 95 in Atkinson, and was especially proud of his Eagle Scout son, Matthew and his Life Scout son, Sean. He was also an Assistant Soccer Coach for the Youth Soccer League of Plaistow.
Paul was a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish at Holy Angels Church, where he was an adult altar server and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a proud Third Degree member of the Saint Jude Council 6617 of the Knights of Columbus, Plaistow.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife of fifty-two years, Justine (Marcelonis) Caron, his two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Rena Caron of Litchfield, NH, and Sean and Chrissy Caron of Brentwood, NH. Grandfather to Danica and Luke, he was lovingly known as Grampy. Paul was predeceased by his younger brother Robert Caron and leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Denise Caron of Springfield, VT, a brother-in-law, Peter Marcelonis and his wife Peggy of Plaistow, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday morning, July 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Route 121, Plaistow. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. and burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, East Road, Plaistow. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow.
