Haverhill: Paul A. Beauregard, Jr., 84 of Haverhill, died peacefully Saturday morning, October 12, 2019 in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill, son of the late Paul A. and Caroline (Knight) Beauregard, he was a member of the Haverhill Trade School Class of 1954 and served as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until 1957. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Beauregard served in reserve status until 1962.
A resident of Haverhill for most of his life, he moved to Plaistow in 1985 and resided there until returning to Haverhill in 2017.
Mr. Beauregard was employed as a Section Manager at Raytheon for thirty-eight years until his retirement. For the past twenty five years he has been a faithful and valued member of the staff of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow and Berube-Comeau Funeral Home of Haverhill. He was a co-founder of Upbeat Connection, a support group for people dealing with Multiple Sclerosis. He was also a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill, and the former Saint Joseph Parish, a Life Member and past member of the Board of Directors of the Carl Davis Post #34 of the American Legion of Plaistow and a member and President of the Board of Directors of the AmVets Post 147 of Haverhill.
A loving husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather, Mr. Beauregard was devoted to his wife Helen, who has been suffering with Multiple Sclerosis for many years. He enjoyed boating as a former member of the Crescent Yacht Club, and bowling as a member of the Raytheon Golf League. He especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty-three years, Helen M. (Barber) Beauregard, a son David P. Beauregard of North Andover, two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen E. and Thomas Droste of Newburyport and Caroline M. and Gary LeBlanc of Bradford, brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Bina Beauregard of Amesbury and Richard and Joan Beauregard of Haverhill, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and David Champagne, and Elaine and Thomas Huberdeau , all of Atkinson, NH, seven grandchildren, David J. "D.J." Beauregard and his wife Hillary, Ryan J. Beauregard, and Amanda M. Beauregard and her fiancé Alex Collins , all of Methuen, Ashley E. Droste of Andover, Thomas G. Droste, of West Newbury, Griffin J. LeBlanc and Reese H. LeBlanc of Bradford, a great-grand-daughter, Audrey Beauregard, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara.
Relatives and friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by burial with Military Honors in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
