Sandown - Patricia A. (Charles) Passanisi, 74, a resident of Sandown since 1974, died Monday, June 6, 2022, at Colonial Poplin Healthcare Center in Fremont, following a period of declining health issues.
Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Joseph M. and Anne M (Woiciechowski) Charles, she was raised and educated in the Greater Boston area and graduated from St. Mary of the Annunciation High School in Cambridge with the Class of 1965. As a young woman, she was employed as a secretary in the Psychology Department of Harvard University After moving to Sandown, Mrs. Passinisi worked as a teaching assistant at Sandown Central School and more recently as the Assistant Librarian at Sandown Central School. She held a special place in her heart for working with children.
Mrs. Passanisi was a member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead and the Red Hat Society. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially their regular vacations to Disney World. She also enjoyed quilting and crafts and golf, as a member of the Wednesday Night Golf League at Garrison Golf Course in Haverhill.
Predeceased in 2019 by her husband of 48 years, James T. Passanisi, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter and son-in-law, Amy A. and Donald Blaszka of Hampstead; a son and daughter-in-law, David T. and Jocelyn (McCann) Passanisi, of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister Diane Senter and her husband John of Ward Hill, MA; three grandchildren, Aana P. Blaszka, Andrew D. Blaszka and Thomas J. Blaszka; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration to be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Sandown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: Sandown Public Library, Children's Literature Section, 305 Main Street, Sandown, NH, or to Saint Anne's Food Pantry, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH.
