IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A.
Cook
April 20, 1948 – January 15, 2025
Patricia A. (Gallant) Cook, 76, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, January 15, 2025, surrounded by her three children, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Cook.
She was born on April 20, 1948, the daughter of Dorothy (Moriarty) Gallant and the late Joseph Gallant. Patricia was a graduate of Salem (NH) High School. For the last several years, she was a resident of Kingston, NH and was a former longtime resident of Atkinson, NH.
After raising her children, she worked as a paraprofessional in the special education department at Timberlane Regional High School. Later in life, she found her true calling as a Justice of the Peace, uniting hundreds of couples, including many special friends and family.
When her children were young, the family enjoyed spending their summers at the beach. She loved gardening, crafting, collecting her treasured spoons and trying hard to "love" golf to spend more time with her husband.
Affectionately known as Nana, she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren. Pat will be remembered for her contagious smile and laugh, her willingness to volunteer for anything needed, and, above all else, unconditional love for her family.
Besides her mother, Patricia is survived by her children, Jennifer Goodsell and her husband Shannon of Atkinson, NH, Meghan Stilson and her, husband Philip of Raymond, NH, and Michael Cook of Newbury, MA; her grandchildren, Jacob and Riley Goodsell, Kinsley and Kendal Cook, and Jocelyn Stilson; her siblings Claire Embrey, Janice Hayes and her husband Russell, Barbara Sampson, and Joseph Gallant and his wife Donna Gillette; she also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Rose Lane Memory Care Unit at All American Assisted Living and Brookhaven Hospice for their exceptional care, comfort, and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 2pm – 3:45 at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4pm. Interment will be held privately.
