Plaistow, NH:  Patricia A. (Downey) Carroll, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2021, with her loving family by her side. Born on April 1, 1934, to Mary Eleanor McCarthy and Charles Francis Downey in Methuen Massachusetts.

Pat was predeceased by her husband Kevin J. Carroll who she married on July 2, 1955. Pat and Kev resided in Plaistow for sixty-four years raising four children; Laurie M. of Haverhill, Brian K. of Plaistow, Patrick C. and wife Jillian of York Maine, and Jeffrey A. of Hampstead.  Pat is survived by ten loving grandchildren; Amy, Jarrett and wife Nichole, Erin and husband Zach, Megan, Erica, Emily and husband Jon, Hannah, Matt, Zachary, and Spencer. She had four great grandchildren; Riley, Sophia, Hunter and Ella. Also survived by two sisters Maureen Daneau, and Claire Gately, along with many nieces and nephews.  Pat was predeceased by sister Carole Carragher and son in-law Stanley Jacobs.

Patricia was raised in Bradford, graduating from St. James High School in Haverhill, and obtained her RN after graduating from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in 1955. While Pat was raising her four children she returned to school to earn her B.A. in Psychology/ Sociology at New England College. Pat was employed by area hospitals and nursing homes and also at Pollard School in Plaistow NH as School Nurse.

Pat loved to walk, do crossword puzzles, read and entertain family and friends.

There will be no public services.  Arrangements handled by Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, Plaistow NH.
