Obituary

Patricia A. "Pat" (Bradley) Carlson, 78, a resident of Hampstead, NH for the past 7 years, and formerly a resident of Atkinson, NH, died peacefully on March 24, 2025 surrounded by her family after a period of declining health.

Pat was born in Haverhill, MA and was raised in Ward Hill. She graduated from Haverhill High School in 1964. Pat worked as a nurse's aide starting when she was 16 years old and completed her RN program at Lawrence General in 1969. She worked for over 35 years as an RN at the Hale Hospital. In retirement, Pat worked at Dr. Hart's Family Practice in Hampstead, NH.

Pat shared a passion for antiquing with the love of her life, the late Carl T. Carlson, Jr., with whom she would have shared 50 years of marriage this year. They specialized in primitive and unique glassware and for many years operated booths at various antique shops and at the Brimfield, Mass. and Union, Maine Antique Markets, often doing several shows per year.

During summers, when her daughters were young, Pat enjoyed many family vacations in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

Pat was survived by her twin daughters Erica Dowd, of Hampstead, and Sarah Carlson, of Nashua, son-in-law Geoffrey Dowd, and grandchildren Domenic Vitello, Alexis Vitello, Aiden Dowd, and Finn Dowd.  Pat was also survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Carlson, several nieces and nephews, and feline companions Jack and Jasper.  She was predeceased by her parents Frank E. Jr. and Eileen M. (Ryan) Bradley, her brother Richard Bradley, and her brother-in-law Norman B. Carlson.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4pm – 7pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow. Interment will be held privately.
