Pamela A. (Marshall) Whitcomb, "Pam", to her family and friends and most proudly, "Mom", 79, of Epping, NH, passed away very unexpectedly at home on Wednesday February 25, 2026. Her husband, Lee, and her son, Jason, along with close family friend, Paul, were by her side. Her dear dog, Gigi, was also there.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, Pam was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gloria (LiDonne) Marshall. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1964, where she was an excellent student.
Pam was most honored to be called Mom. However, she had other titles that came both before and after that honor. She was the daughter of Ray and Gloria. Two years after she was born, she became a big sister to "baby brother", Barry, who later became an amazing Uncle to Pam's two children. The bond Barry and Pam had will continue in the bond her children have always had with Barry.
After school, she worked making shoes in a hot factory in Lynn, MA. Later she worked at what was once the iconic, "Hilltop Steakhouse", in Saugus, MA., for nearly twenty years.
In 1966, she met her best friend and married him. The young couple lasted only a few years; however, they rekindled their love for each other later in life.
In 1975, Pam gave birth to her first child, Jason Raymond, after having a tough time conceiving and one miscarriage. She now had the honor of being a mother. That honor continued when her daughter, Danielle Stepanie, was born in 1977.
Pam continued to work at the Hilltop for many, many more years. Her "baby" brother, Barry, then got her into the mortgage business as an Underwriter. She retired in 2007.
Barry gave her more titles, Aunt, sister-in-law, and God mother to his only son, Bryan.
On January 8, 2014, she once again married the love of her life, Mr. Lee M. Whitcomb, adding the title of Wife, once again. They started their journey together with the bright lights and sounds of Las Vegas. After eight years in the desert, Pam and Lee chose to return to New England to be closer to family. After living in Hampton, NH for a year, they settled in Epping, NH where Lee and Pam's sixty plus year love affair ended on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:47 p.m. One day, just as it did a second time, it again will reignite when Pam and Lee meet once again. As Pam would say, "third times a charm".
Pam was always up for an adventure. She was a jokester. She would pull up next to Jason in his Mustang and yell “wanna race?!” She knew he’d smoke the tires. She would just laugh and laugh. Seeing Cher live, Michael Jackson tribute shows, Chris Angel, Hoover Damn, Grand Canyon, and Carrot top are just a few shows she attended with Jason that were some of her Vegas highlights. Lisa Lampenelii, “Fluffy” the comedian, Beatles show, murder mystery dinner, and a night at the Wynn with Lee to name just another few. The restaurant Metro, in Vegas, was Danielle, Lee and Pam’s favorite spot. Pam enjoyed life and made the most of everything even if she was in pain from “these cranky old joints.” There was not much she would say no to, except when her son tried to get her to skydive. That was off the table apparently. She did on many occasions hop on the back of a motorcycle with either Jason or Lee even in her early 70’s. She was a character, she was fun, she always could take a joke, or laugh at one, even if not appropriate. A prude she was not. She was the life of the party even if it wasn’t her party. She loved most everyone, and most everyone she met loved her, too. One thing she most certainly is, and always will be, is simply missed.
Pam will be remembered by her husband, Lee M. Whitcomb of Epping, NH, with whom she has known for over sixty years, her son, Jason of NH, her beloved daughter, Danielle McKenna, whom Pam loved so very much and had a special connection with, and her partner, Debra Whittemore of Lake View, SC, her adoring “baby brother”, Barry Marshall and his wife, Linda of St. Augustine, FL, cherished niece, Meredith Stevens and son, Robert of St. Augustine, FL, cherished nephew and god son, Bryan Marshall of Watertown, MA, cherished niece, Dr. Jennifer Murphy and her husband, Dr. Mark Murphy of St. Augustine, FL, and their son, Teddy, as well as the best, best friend Pam could have hoped for, Julie Travers and husband, Al. Others that will miss Pam came into Jason’s life eight years ago and cemented a permanent spot in her heart for their unwavering kindness, love and support, Mr. Donald Blaszka and his wife, Carolyn. Scott, Bob, Charlie, Paul, Tom, Matt, Amy (SOSL), Geoff, Jeff D, Craig, Brandon, Shane, Kiera, Kevin and Kate, Don Jr, and so very more will miss Pam for the impact she left on their life which means they made one in her life or that of someone she loved. Finally, she will be dearly missed by her furry little love, the yapper, Gigi.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Calling Hours on Saturday March 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A Funeral Service with Pam’s urn will follow at 1:15 PM in the funeral home.
Family and friends are invited to enjoy one of Pam’s favorite foods, Pizza, at one of her newly found comfort places, Telly’s in Epping, NH starting at 2:00 PM.
Finally, on behalf of myself, my dad, Lee, sister Danielle, “baby brother” Barry and the many friends and other family of my mom, Pamela, want to publicly thank the NH 911 system, Rockingham County Sheriffs communication center, and the Epping police Department for their incredible professionalism during this sad call for service. As to the Epping Fire department personnel and EMTs on scene; this was not the outcome I wanted. However, as my dad Lee, friend Paul and I watched you work on my mom, it was abundantly clear you did not want this outcome either. Your effort, your commitment to bringing my mom back to us, your kindness shown both before and after the call was made, she had left us, was nothing short of impeccable. I genuinely believe you did all you could for my mom, and us. Please sleep well knowing, we know you tried your absolute hardest. For that, you will always hold a special place in the hearts of our family. Brookside Chapel: your staff on scene treated me, my dad, and friend, more importantly my mom, with respect and kindness in what is the worst time of my life. Lastly, Dr Marc Grossman; thank you for the extra four years you gave us with my mother. You, too, hold an extra very special place in my heart, and my life. With much gratitude to all, on behalf of my family, thank you is an understatement.
