IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pamela "Suzy"
Johnson
June 27, 1960 – February 21, 2026
Pamela Sue ("Suzy") Johnson, 65, of Kingston, NH, passed away at home on Saturday, February 21st, after a brief but brave and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Suzy was born in Albuquerque, NM to Robert and Carlene Mayo, the second of four children. In 1978, she married Thomas Scott Johnson. They lived for several years in Honolulu, Hawaii while Tom served in the Army, then moved back to Plaistow and then Kingston, NH, where they have resided since 1984.
In addition to her parents, Suzy was preceded in death by her youngest brother James Mayo, and several of her brother and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Tom, her siblings and sibling-in-laws (Tammy & Gardner Johnson, Bobby & Debbie Mayo, Dickie & Bonnie Johnson, Stephen & Marie Johnson, Kathy Johnson, Bill Moulton & Corinne Walker) her children and their partners (Tom & Tanja Johnson, Serena & Mike Jaworski, Laura & Dennis Cruz, Ralph & Toni Johnson, Tanya & Josef Miller, and Tara Johnson & Celine Savat), and many grandchildren and grand-pets who loved her immensely. She also leaves behind many dear friends, neighbors, and coworkers who are too many to mention, but that were all like family to her.
Suzy devoted her life to caring for others. She ran a daycare out of her home for many years, and then started a career as a nursing assistant, caring for the elderly and disabled, and then for patients undergoing cancer treatment. She also loved to travel and go on cruises, and playing Keno, 45's, and slot machines. Suzy was generous, an amazing hostess and cook, and she enjoyed planning and throwing themed parties. She adored spending time with friends and family up at her camp in Ossipee, NH, where she enjoyed planting flowers, watching the birds, sitting around the campfire, swimming in the "refreshing" river, and watching the tubers and kayakers float by.
The family would like to recognize the Exeter Hospital Cancer Center staff, who all took such amazing care of Suzy during her illness as a patient, a coworker, and a friend. And also, the Brookhaven hospice team, especially Julie, Kathy, and Lori, who took such good care of Suzy and of our family during this very challenging time. We are so grateful to all of you.
Calling hours will be from 10am-1pm on Saturday, February 28th at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home in Plaistow, NH. Family and close friends are welcome to stay after for a very brief prayer and service at 1pm.
