January 13, 1954 – March 16, 2021
Salem, NH: Pamela Ann (Binns) Hodgerney, age 67, a resident of Salem for the last several years and formerly of Haverhill, MA passed away on March 16, 2021, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Pamela was born in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late Shirley (Fortier) Binns and the late William Binns. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she grew up on Oak Terrace and attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Tilton School and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1971. She was loved and adored by her grandparents, Arthur Fortier and Anna (Charron) Fortier, and shared a love of dancing and singing with them. She enjoyed roller skating many times a week at Skate Land in Haverhill with her sister, Shirleen.
Pam worked for several years at Western Electric Company and the City Engineer's Office at Haverhill City Hall. In her later years, Pam enjoyed being a housewife, and creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and enjoyed spending time at the beach. She also enjoyed vintage television shows, westerns and game shows, completing crossword puzzles and taking care of her many pets.
A devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Pamela was the glue that bound her family together. Her primary purpose in life was to ensure that her family realized that they were loved .She knew when her help was needed and never failed to extend her loving support. She was an amazingly unique and loving woman.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband and longtime friend of thirty-five years, Daniel G. Hodgerney, her son Mitchell F. Clohecy of NH, two daughters, Morgan M (Clohecy) Cyr and her husband Kenneth of Derry, and Danielle A. (Hodgerney) Bourque and her husband Josh of Seabrook. She was "Memere" to her eight grandchildren: Jayson, Joshua, Elise and Liam Clohecy, Kendra and Colin Cyr, and Arya and Talya Bourque, and is also survived by her sister, Johnna (Miller) Getchell of Florida. She was predeceased by her sister Shirleen Thornhill and her daughter, Erin Clohecy.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA, under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks. Her funeral will begin on Monday morning at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
