IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norman H.
Lambert
June 27, 1941 – February 27, 2023
With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Norman Herbert Lambert, 81, of Brentwood NH, a beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, Godfather, boss and friend to many. He died peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at home, with family by his side, after a long courageous battle with Lymphoma and cardiac disease.
Born on June 27, 1941 and raised in Haverhill, Mass., by the late Herbert and Marie (Comeau) Lambert, he graduated from Haverhill Trade school as a carpenter. Norm started his career building homes, later worked at Malden Mills as a foreman and started Lambert Products in his basement where he sold craft supplies, while manufacturing and selling pillows and foot stools of his own design. Joining his father, they sold used tools and machinery on weekends in Brentwood, NH. Being a hard-working entrepreneur, he purchased the property from his father and created Brentwood Machine Sales, growing it into a thriving full-time business where he became known as Stormin' Norman the Tool King!
In his childhood years he was known as the neighborhood MC where he'd gather his friends to put on variety shows. As a teenager, he DJ'd for a local skating rink and was very involved in his church's youth-group. There he formed friendships that would last a lifetime; through these friends he met his first wife Rita, of 37 years, before her passing in 1998. The collective group of six couples became known as 'club' and have stayed connected for 60+ years, having club family outings in their younger years and regular get-togethers on a monthly basis for lunch in their later years.
In the 60's, Norm built a camp on Chalk Pond in New Durham, NH, where many of his relatives had camps too. Here, many lasting memories were made; snowmobiling with the club families, card games with friends and family, impromptu cookouts, the annual making of Rappie Pie, Sunday morning breakfasts, and the Labor Day festivities that he will always be remembered for.
In the late 70's, after winterizing the camp, Norm moved his family to New Durham, NH. While there, he stayed very involved in his children's lives, becoming a youth group coordinator at St. Joan of Arc in Alton, NH as well as a 4 th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Upon moving to his current residence in Brentwood, NH, he became an active and supportive parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Epping, NH.
His love of family was enriched in the year 2000, when he married Margaret (Maggie) Hill. Her three adult children and their families were a welcomed addition to his. He loved them dearly, enjoying their visits, spending time at family events and watching Patriot's games together. He and Maggie enjoyed traveling and did so frequently with his brother and sister-in-law.
Norm enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, jigsaw puzzles and competing with Maggie on Sunday to see who could solve the Sudoku puzzle the fastest. He loved relaxing while having a cool drink in his gazebo, enjoying the beauty of the yard he worked so hard to maintain. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his positive attitude and welcoming demeanor. He will be sorely missed!
Norm is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Margaret (Hill) Lambert, sister Jeannette Daggett (husband Donald), brother David Lambert (wife Ellen), brother-in-law's Barry Rondeau and Alan Hill (wife Gena), daughters Lisa Kolacz (husband Stephen) and Tammy Latvis (husband Philip), sons Eric Lambert (wife Laura) and Greg Lambert, stepsons Robert Marr (wife Jennifer), Geoffrey Marr (wife Jennifer), and Michael Marr, seventeen grandchildren: Stephen (wife Elizabeth), Danielle, Bryan (wife Katelynn), Samantha (husband Samuel), Matthew, Jennifer (husband Sebastian), Megan (husband Tom), Mary (husband Steven), Alan, Andrew, Mackenzie (husband John), Meredith, Nolan, Elizabeth, Christopher (wife Laura), Michael, Anthony (AJ), seven great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
