Norman P. DeBrosky, 84, of Haverhill, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA, with his loving family by his side.
A lifelong resident of Haverhill, son of the late Blesler and Louise (Vachon) DeBrosky, he attended public grammar school in Haverhill and Haverhill Trade School.He served with the United States Navy Seabees as a Seaman First Class during World War II from 1944 to 1946.He was first employed in a local machine shop, and as a young man he establishedhis own contracting business, Norman P. DeBrosky Contracting, specializing in finish carpentry.
A member of All Saints Parish, Haverhill, Mr. DeBrosky enjoyed bowling as a member of leagues at Pilgrim Lanes on Primrose St., Haverhill, and hunting, fishing and gardening.
Husband of the late Alice (Noel) DeBrosky, who died in 2009, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Pino Palermo of Haverhill; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul N. and Susan DeBrosky of Raymond, NH; four grandchildren, Christopher DeBrosky, Adam DeBrosky, Chad Palermo and Jared Palermo; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
