Tampa, FL: Norman J. Cormier, 88, a former longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, died on October 13, 2015 surrounded by his loving family following a long illness. Norman was born in Notre Dame, New Brunswick, Canada on May 20, 1927 and was the son of the late Albert and Caroline (Landry) Cormier.

Norman was employed as a linotype operator at Worcester Telegram, Boston Globe, and for the Haverhill Gazette for thirty-four years, from where he retired. An avid Red Sox fan, Norman enjoyed reading the newspaper and was known to digest two to three papers a day. He was a member of All Saints Parish where he served as a long time collector. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Haverhill.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette (LeBlanc) Cormier, three children Ronald Cormier and his wife Dianne of Plaistow, NH, William Cormier and his wife Robin of Audubon, PA, Lisa (Cormier) O'Brien and her husband Daniel of Tampa, FL, eight grandchildren, Darrell Cormier, Todd Cormier of San Diego, CA, Laura (Cormier) Hanson of Bradford, MA, Bridgette Cormier of New York, NY, Colleen Cormier of Collegeville, PA, Christine Martuscello of Skippack, PA, Brandon and Connor Cormier of Tampa, FL, four great grandchildren, Reese Cormier, Avery Cormier of San Diego, CA, Kyla Hanson and Harper Hanson of Bradford, MA. Norman is also survived by a brother, Laurie Cormier of Waltham, MA and a sister, Jean Brideau of Leominster, MA.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, October 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will begin on Monday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to All Saints Parish or the Alzheimer's Association, or the St. Vincent De Paul Society of All Saints Church.
