Obituary

Homosassa, Florida- Mrs. Norma A. Galvin of Homosassa, FL, formerly of Haverhill, MA passed away on January 11, 2024. She was 89 years old.

Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond and Emelie (d'Entremont) Payette.

Norma was a graduate of St. Joseph's Grammar School, St. James High School and Chandler School for Women. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Homosassa and a former member of All Saints Church in Haverhill. She was a member of the ladies of St. Anne at All Saints Parish, former member of American Banking Association and Credit Women International. In her spare time she loved to square dance, do crossword puzzles, read, shop and vacation in Nova Scotia. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Norma was employed for several years in the banking industry and was office manager in private industry. She retired from St. Anne's Home, Methuen, in 2000 and moved for Florida with her late husband in 2002.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved husband, William, who died in 2004. She leaves several cousins both locally and in Nova Scotia, and several friends.

Arrangements: Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 9 -10 a.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Her mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave, Haverhill, MA. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Haverhill MA.
