Haverhill, MA; Nilda Pantoja, 78, former longtime resident, died Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Royal Meadow View Health Center, North Reading, MA.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of Luis and Divina (Surita) Miranda, she was raised and educated in New York City, and later moved to Haverhill, MA after meeting the love of her life, Angel Pantoja. She worked for Allen Shoe Company for many years before moving onto Compugraphic and retired from Lucent Technologies as a supervisor after twenty-five years.

Nilda enjoyed vacationing throughout New Hampshire, soaking up the sun on Weirs Beach, camping and time at the Summit with family and friends.  She liked trips to the casino's and had a tasteful eye for jewelry. Above all, spending time with family was most important, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nilda is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her mother, Divina (Surita) Miranda of New Jersey; two sons, Peter Pantoja and his significant other, Debra Digiacomo of Queens, NY and Anthony Pantoja and his wife, Dewi of Orcutt, CA; two daughters, Debra Pantoja of Middleburg, FL and Yvette Pantoja and her significant other, Pablito Rentas of Fitchburg, MA; fourteen grandchildren, Ryan, Ilias, Jacob, Jose, Isiah, Joseph, Angel, Jayden, Sophia, Gabriel, Ali, Pablito, Divina and Yania; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Irma Baez and her husband, Caesar of New Jersey. She is predeceased by her husband, Angel Pantoja in November of 2020, and her father, Luis Miranda.

Relatives and friends may visit from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am in Sacred Hearts Parish, 165 S Main St, Haverhill, MA.
